Change is one of the only “certainties” in life, and some of those changes can significantly impact your estate plan.
Note: If you know the "specific changes" needed for your estate plan to reflect your current wishes, you can directly engage us to make those changes. How? Click the "Contact" tab at the top of this page and complete our "Contact Us" form rather than clicking "Request a Consultation" or "Get Started Now" button.
On the other hand, you may be unsure whether 1) your estate plan can be fully “repaired” by making those “specific changes;” or 2) you should be “starting over” with a new estate plan.
The price of a “will-based estate plan” (probate planning) review is $350, and the price of a “revocable living trust-based plan” (probate avoidance planning) review is $500, whether we prepared the estate plan or you are bringing a plan prepared elsewhere. After the review, any requested “specific changes” or “starting over” will be invoiced separately.
By analogy, consider it a “full physical exam” of your current plan. In that spirit, just like my own annual full physical with Dr. Michael Monaco, you will have some “tests” to complete and submit before we meet to discuss the results. Regarding my “full physical exam,” the tests include an EKG, blood draw, lung capacity, blood flow ultrasound, pulmonary function, and mental acuity.
For the “full physical exam” of your estate plan, there are three (3) required online e-documents (our Estate Planning Priorities Quiz, Confidential Client Questionnaire, and Estate Review Questions) and one (1) fillable PDF form (our Confidential Client Financial Information form). Please scroll down for an explanation of these essential forms.
After submitting your request for a Review Consultation, you will receive links to the first three forms in three separate emails. Note: The link to the fourth form is provided immediately below.
A general overview of your financial assets is essential in helping us prepare for your meeting and answer your questions. While we provide a fillable PDF form for your convenient use, you may also provide this same information in an alternative format. You may follow this link to download our fillable PDF form: Confidential Client Financial Information. If you choose to use our fillable PDF form, please complete the form, save it to your computer, and email a copy to kyle.krull@harvestlaw.com. We recommend you download the free Foxit PDF Reader to ensure the best experience with this form.
Just as our clients are unique, so is each estate plan we create. What is “essential” for one client may be “irrelevant” to your circumstances, and vice versa.
The purpose of this “survey” is two-fold: 1) to provide us with an initial snapshot of your unique estate planning priorities and 2) to provide you with an easy-to-understand estate planning tutorial before we meet. After you complete the Estate Planning Priorities Quiz, you may have a better grasp of estate planning than most attorneys!
The purpose of this Questionnaire is also two-fold: 1) to provide us with the initial snapshot of the 3 Ps relevant to your estate plan [i.e., the important People, Property, and Plans]; and 2) to help you think through and evaluate your important 3 Ps before our meeting.
Please complete and submit the third and final e-document. It will help you review and consider important life changes that may warrant changes in your estate planning. The questions are drawn from more than 30 years of experience with more than 3,000 clients.
